SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The St. Francis soccer team finished second in the Sac-Joaquin Section Winter Team rankings behind only Summerville (3.60). The Troubadours recorded a 3.54 GPA as a team to place ahead of Rio Vista (3.49), league rival Franklin of Elk Grove (3.47) and Enochs (3.45).
The Sac-Joaquin Section has awarded the Academic Team Champions for three seasons. The 2019 St. Francis Lacrosse team was the section academic champion.
Under the direction of alumna Maryclaire Robinson '86, the Troubadours won the 2020 Sac-Joaquin Section Division II title and reached the semifinals of the CIF Northern California Regional Division I championships. SF ranked No. 25 nationally by Maxpreps and No. 28 in the TopDrawerSoccer.com Fab 50.
