St. Francis honors 17 future collegiate student-athletes in spring ceremony
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – St. Francis Catholic High School honored a total of 17 senior students who committed to compete in 10 different collegiate sports during the spring edition of its National Letter of Intent & College Commitment celebration Thursday morning.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Basketball’s Sydney Teoh and the soccer foursome of Estella Bacsafra, Miley Blough, Jada Dwyre and Maggie Koerwitz represented St. Francis on the 2024-25 All-Sierra Foothill League winter awards, as announced by commissioner Steve Thornton this week.

Troubies shut out Raiders in SJS playoff opener
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Senior Giuliana Del Guerra put the finishing touch on a pass from fellow 12th-grader Estella Bacsafra in the 39th minute for the lone goal in St. Francis’ 1-0 victory over River City in a Sac-Joaquin Section Division II girls’ soccer first-round playoff at Cristo Rey’s Adamson Family Sports Complex Tuesday afternoon.
Troubie soccer hosts Raiders in SJS opener Tuesday
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – St. Francis earned the No. 4 seed and will host 13th-seeded River City in the first round of the Sac-Joaquin Section Division I girls’ soccer championship tournament, the section office announced Wednesday. The playoff opener will take place at Cristo Rey High’s Adamson Family Sports Complex on Tuesday at 3 p.m.
