SACRAMENTO, Calif - The St. Francis varsity soccer team had three players placed on the 2018-19 National High School All-American Winter State Stars team for California selected by TopDrawerSoccer.com. Seniors Janae DeFazio and Lindsey Porter were placed on the team along with junior Marli Berry.

DeFazio ended her season leading with a total of 42 points in league and 18 assists. She scored 12 goals this season as the second leading scorer for St. Francis. Defazio reached 42 goals and 36 assists during her high school career. She was the Co-Offensive Player of the Year and will play at UCLA this fall.

Porter scored eight goals this season, assisted on four goals, and had a total of 20 points as a midfielder. She was named to the Delta League All-League Team for the second time after earning the award as a junior in the 2018 season. She will play at UC Santa Barbara this fall.

Junior defender Marli Berry had three goals this season, and six points and was named to the Delta League All-League Team for her second consecutive season. In the 2018-2019 season, the Troubies had a total of 20 shutouts, five being during the playoff games. She was also the team's Defensive Player of the Year.
