SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The St. Francis varsity soccer team celebrated their season so far with their annual awards banquet Monday night at St. Francis. The Troubies host No. 4 seed Granite Bay in the Sac-Joaquin Section semifinals on Tuesday.

Senior Grace Barger received the Cornerstone Award and handed out the Golden Boot to junior Hailey Lemon as last year's recipient. Lemon was named the Defensive Most Valuable Player and junior Jackie Stanco received the Offensive Most Valuable Player after leading the team in goals with 19 this season.

Sophomore Kenna Delemos was the recipient of the Newcomer of the Year, while junior Maggie Price received the Delta League Sportsmanship Award.

The team awards are voted on by the players.

Head Coach Maryclaire Robinson '86 also recognized the team's seven All-Delta League players, the 11 seniors and four captains for the season.
