St. Francis honors 17 future collegiate student-athletes in spring ceremony
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – St. Francis Catholic High School honored a total of 17 senior students who committed to compete in 10 different collegiate sports during the spring edition of its National Letter of Intent & College Commitment celebration Thursday morning.
Teoh to represent SF at Optimist All-Star game
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – St. Francis point guard Sydney Teoh earned a spot on the Sacramento Optimist All-Star basketball game, which takes place this Saturday at Folsom Lake College. Teoh will represent the Troubadours on the South squad in the large-school girls’ game at 2 p.m.
Five Troubies earn winter All-SFL first-team honors
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Basketball’s Sydney Teoh and the soccer foursome of Estella Bacsafra, Miley Blough, Jada Dwyre and Maggie Koerwitz represented St. Francis on the 2024-25 All-Sierra Foothill League winter awards, as announced by commissioner Steve Thornton this week.
Eagles edge Troubies in first-round playoff upset
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Junior Lexi London and sophomore Tayli Paeu-Lindgren each scored 14 points while sophomore Layla Hernandez grabbed a team-leading 10 rebounds, but St. Francis saw a 10-point third-period lead wither to a 53-51 loss against Vista Del Lago in the first round of the Sac-Joaquin Section Division II girls’ basketball tournament Tuesday night.
SF to rematch with Vista in SJS hoop playoffs
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The 2025 postseason begins in the same way as the regular season for St. Francis, which earned the No. 7 seed and the home opener against No. 10 Vista Del Lago in the first round of the Sac-Joaquin Section Div. II girls’ basketball championship tournament. The contest will take place on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
