Sacramento Bee All-Decade Girls Basketball Team
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Former Troubadour Lauren Craig and her coach Vic Pitton were named to the Sacramento Bee's All-Decade Girls Basketball team in a story published by the newspaper.
Pitton was named the Sacramento Bee Girls Coach of the Year and senior Craig was selected to the All-Metro first-team after leading the team to the state championship game in 2016. St. Francis lost 64-51 to Brea Olinda in their quest for the second state championship in school history after winning the CIF NorCal Division I Championship with a 66-52 come-from-behind victory over Castro Valley.
The Troubies won the Delta League Championship with a perfect 14-0 record including two wins over Division II finalist Elk Grove as Pitton was the named the Delta League Coach of the Year and Craig was named the Player of the Year.
Craig finished as the all-time leading scorer in school history after averaging 16.8 points and 13.4 rebounds during her senior season in 2015-16. She finished her four-year career with 1,260 points and 1153 rebounds.
