Basketball’s Fleming-Mullins Named CalHiSports.com NorCal Girls Player of the Week

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Senior Mia Fleming-Mullins was named the CalHiSports.com NorCal Girls Player of the Week for her three-game performance at the Central Valley Showdown.

"I this it is an awesome honor," said Fleming-Mullins. "It shows all of our hard work as a team has come together. I could not do it without them working hard in practice to help me get to this point. It is a ream award for us."

Fleming-Mullins scored in double figures in all three games played in the tournament. She had 20 points and seven boards in the 64-43 win over Bakersfield. She hit for 24 points and nine board and three blocks in victory over Tracy Kimball and totaled a 28 to reset her career-high in the Saturday night finale against El Capitan of Merced.

"Mia earned this award because she played both sides of the ball really well," said Head Coach Heather Brownholtz. "Offensively off course she is going to get her points. She is averaging 24 points game and wrapped up the tournament with a career-high 28 points. I was very impressed."

Fleming-Mullins was named to the Central Valley Showdown All-Tournament team for her play. She averaged 24.0 ppg. in the three games while hitting four triples and grabbing 21 boards.

St. Francis (4-2) is playing in the Folsom-Vista Classic this weekend, opening with McFarland on Thursday night
