SACRAMENTO, Calif - The St. Francis varsity soccer team had four players placed on the 2019 Delta League Women's Soccer All-League team selected by the Delta League coaches. Seniors Janae DeFazio, Elise Urkov and Lindsey Porter were placed on the team along with junior Marli Berry.
DeFazio ended her season leading the team with a total of 42 points and 18 assists. She scored 12 goals this season as the second lead scorer for St. Francis. Defazio reached 42 goals and 36 assists during her high school career.
Urkov ranked second to DeFazio with 10 assists. She scored three goals, and finished her senior season with 16 points.
Porter scored eight goals this season, assisted four goals, and had a total of 20 points as a midfielder. She was named to the Delta League All-League Team for the second time, her first as a junior in the 2018 season.
Junior defender Marli Berry had three goals this season, and six points and was named to the Delta League All-League Team for her second consecutive season. In the 2018-2019 season, Berry helped the Troubies record a total of 20 shutouts, five during the playoff run to the NOrCal Championship.
