Troubies roll past Franklin in road tennis dual

ELK GROVE, Calif. – Junior Anna Dinh won her match at No. 6 singles with a perfect 6-0, 6-0 score, leading five straight-set singles victories for St. Francis in an 8-1 dual win over Franklin in Delta League girls' tennis action Tuesday.

Alexa Randall (No. 2), Tatum Walbeck (No. 3), Caroline Niethammer (No. 4) and Sophia Troppmann (No. 5) also swept through their respective singles wins for the Troubadours, who improve to 5-1 for the season and 2-0 in league play. 

St. Francis also won all three singles matches, with Arden Garcia and Sarah Ramos-Lasso winning 6-3, 6-2; and Ava Ensberg and Litzy Alengaden claiming a similar 6-3, 6-2 victory. Anya Bilal and Ananya Saini had the closest match of the day, ultimately prevailing in a 11-9 single-game tiebreaker to decide their No. 3 doubles match.

Sophomore Ava Ensberg was also awarded the team's "Queen of the Court" sweatshirt, a rotating weekly honor that recognizes achievement for an individual Troubie player. 

St. Francis returns to action at Pleasant Grove on Thursday.
