SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Senior Sam Sonntag and sophomore Cate Joaquin are featured in the April edition of Style Magazine in an article titled "10 Teens Making Their Mark".

Sonntag was an All-Delta League tennis selection and posted a combined 19-0 record during the season, including a 15-0 mark in singles. She led St. Francis to the 2019 NorCal semifinals and had a Sac-Joaquin Section runner-up finish and Delta League Team Championship. Paired with doubles partner Bianca Ariza, Sam reached the Sac-Joaquin Section Doubles semifinals and Delta League finals. She will attend the University of Arizona in the fall.

Joaquin led the St. Francis cross country team to a sixth-place finish at the 2019 CIF State Championships and Delta League and Sac-Joaquin Section team titles. She was named Delta League Runner of the Year. Joaquin was also an all-state selection with her fourth-place finish at the CIF State Championships, recording the best overall finish by a St. Francis Troubadour at the state meet, improving on the sixth-place finish by Lauren LaRocco (17:26) with the second-fastest time in school history.
