ROSEVILLE, Calif. – Juniors Izzy Asker and Alisha Anwar reached the final of the Sac-Joaquin Section doubles final before losing a tight 7-6, 6-4 final to top-seed Alison Isaac and Sophia Fusano of Del Oro at Johnson Ranch Racquet Club.
The final was setup by an upset in the semifinals over No. 2 seed Hailey Montgomery and Paloma Garcia of Granite Bay 6-3, 6-4.
Seniors Bianca Ariza and Samantha Sonntag fell in the semifinals to the Del Oro duo and lost the third-place match to Granite Bays Hailey Montgomery and Paloma Garcia 6-3, 6-2.
The team will be back in action on Tuesday against Rocklin the Sac-Joaquin Section semifinals.
