ELK GROVE, Calif.  – Sophomore Safaa Umar posted a straight set win at No. 4 singles without dropping a game to help St. Francis post an 8-1 victory over Pleasant Grove.  She beat Pleasant Grove's Kaleigh Chi 6-2, 6-2 to improve to 14-0 on the season.

St. Francis (14-1) improved to 8-0 in Delta League play and won their 51st consecutive league match.

The Troubadours swept the six singles matches with wins by Adithi Benush, Alisha Anwar, Alex Evans, Polina Greenberg and Bianca Ariza, who fought to a three-set win.

SF also got wins by Maddie Brown and Emmy Goebels at No. 1 doubles and Chloe Garcia and Allison Prestwich at No. 3.

St. Francis hosts Sheldon on Thursday at Rio del Oro Racquet Club.
