  • Cross Country’s Joaquin and Fauria Earn Postseason Honors

    St. Francis cross country standouts sophomore Cate Joaquin and senior Isabella Fauria both earned postseason honors last month. Joaquin and Fauria were both named to the All-NorCal team with Joaquin earning all first-team honors and Fauria chosen for the third team.

    The St. Francis cross country team placed sixth overall at the 2019 CIF State Championships Saturday morning in the Division II race at Woodward Park. St. Francis has finished among the top 10 at nine consecutive state championships dating 2011.

  • Cross Country Sweeps Team and Individual Titles at Sac-Joaquin Subsections

    The St. Francis cross country program swept all three team races and had the individual winner in each race at the Sac-Joaquin Subsection races Saturday at the Calaveras Country Fairgrounds. The varsity team won with four runners in the top 10 to qualify for the Sac-Joaquin Section meet next Saturday to defend their title.

    Senior cross country star Emma Hollenbach has been named the GoTroubies.com Athlete of the Week. She was nominated for the week of Oct. 20-26 for finishing first at the Division 1 Junior Varsity race at the Mt. Sac Invitational.
  • Cross Country Takes Third Straight League Title

    The 17th-ranked St. Francis cross country team placed five in the top six and seven in the top 10 to win the Delta League title with 16 points. It was the third consecutive league title for the program and fourth for the school this fall (golf, tennis, volleyball).

    Fresh off their performance at the Clovis Invitational last weekend, the St. Francis Cross Country team has earned some ranking recognition from multiple websites. The Troubadours are as high as No. 8 nationally in the MIleSplitNY Speed Rankings, as well as top 20 listings by High School Harrier at No. 14 in the Terrific 22 and No. 20 by DyeStat (Oct. 10).
  • Troubadours Featured in National Public Service Announcements

    Three St. Francis students were featured in two Impact Teen Drivers public service announcements to be used nationwide to educate communities and teens on the perils of distracted driving. The PSAs were filmed this summer at Jesuit High School.

    The St. Francis cross country team placed third in the Clovis Invitational Girls Championship race behind only Division I schools Great Oak and Buchanan at Woodward Park, the site of the CIF State Championships.

    The St. Francis cross country teams won both Delta League races at the Cherry Island Soccer Complex on Wednesday. Sophomore Cate Joaquin was the individual varsity winner, while freshman Daphne Witherell took the Frosh/Soph race.

    The St. Francis cross country team placed fourth at the Woodbridge Invitational Saturday in the Bob Day Sweepstakes race behind Division I Buchanan (129), South Lake Carroll (129) out of Texas and Division 1 Great Oak (135) with 160 points.

    Sophomore Cate Joaquin paced a St. Francis win at the Josh Ruff Memorial Invitational Saturday at the Willow Hills Reservoir Course in Folsom. Three Troubadours crossed in the top 10 and the top five were all in the top 15 as the Troubies won the team title with 29 points.

    The No. 4-ranked St. Francis cross country team had an impressive opening meet Saturday, sweeping the three titles at the Oakmont Invitational. It was the third consecutive title at the Oakmont for the varsity team.

  • Cross Country Running Camp Information

    The St. Francis cross country program will hold a preseason running camp August 6-9 at the Olema Campgrounds in Point Reyes Station, Calif. Registration is on a first-come-first-serve basis based on payment and will be available starting Monday, June 10. Families will be expected to provide transportation. There will be limited availability in the school vans. Every athlete attending camp must return a permission slip, have an updated physical completed and have Final Forms Registration completed. Forms must be completed and turned in to St. Francis by August 1.
