SACRAMENTO, Calif. – St. Francis cross country standouts sophomore Cate Joaquin and senior Isabella Fauria both earned postseason honors last month. Joaquin and Fauria were both named to the All-NorCal team with Joaquin earning all first-team honors and Fauria chosen for the third team.

Joaquin earned honorable mention All-America honors by finishing in the Top 40 at the FootLocker National Championships. She earned a berth in the national meet at the FootLocker West Regional with a 10th-place finish.

Joaquin was also an all-state selection with her fourth-place finish at the CIF State Championships. It is the best overall finish by a Troubadour at the state meet, improving on the sixth-place finish by Lauren LaRocco (17:26) with the second-fastest time in school history.

Both were All-Nor Cal second-team choices in 2018, while Fauria was a second-team choice as a freshman and the 2016 Freshman Athlete of the Year.

They led the Troubadours to a sixth-place finish at the CIF State Championships.
