Cross Country Running Camp Information

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The St. Francis cross country program will hold a preseason running camp August 6-9 at the Olema Campgrounds in Point Reyes Station, Calif. Registration is on a first-come-first-serve basis based on payment and will be available starting Monday, June 10. Families will be expected to provide transportation. There will be limited availability in the school vans. Every athlete attending camp must return a permission slip, have an updated physical completed and have Final Forms Registration completed. Forms must be completed and turned in to St. Francis by August 1.

Running Camp Details:
When: Tuesday, August 6th through Friday, August 9th
Where: Olema Campgrounds - 10155 State Route 1, Pointe Reyes Station, CA 95956
Cost: $160 + any extra money the girls might want to bring.
Departure to camp: Tuesday, Aug. 6th at 9:00 a.m. (from St. Francis HS)
Return to St. Francis: Friday, Aug. 9th at 2:00 p.m. (approx. arrival at St. Francis HS)
Permission slip: Every athlete attending camp must return a permission slip, have an updated physical completed and have Final Forms Registration completed. Forms must be completed and turned in to St. Francis by August 1.

Camp Checklist (this is not an all-inclusive list, feel free to bring other items as needed):

● *Epipen - if needed
● *Asthma Inhalers
● Tent - all tents will be provided by SFXC team
● Camp chair
● Sleeping bag
● Sleeping pad (optional)
● Pillow
● Clothes for 5 days plus extra socks and shoes - Olema gets cold in the morning and at night please
dont forget a warm jacket and warm pants.
● Flashlight or headlamp
● Extra bag for dirty laundry - *bring quarters if you wish to wash your clothes at the campgrounds
laundromat*
● Sunscreen or Aloe
● Toiletries
● GPS watch and charger
● Visor or hat
● 16 - 32 oz water bottle (bring Nuun tablets for electrolytes). Mandatory - a handheld water bottle
for our longer runs.
● A delicious dessert

● Ice chest with ice (we will need 5 big ice chests)
● Wood for 4 days
Running camp includes:
● Fun trail runs
● Team Bonding (Camp shirts - runs to the ocean - swimming, sitting around the campfire and more)
● Chalk talk (learn about your sport)
