SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The St. Francis cross country team is ranked No. 4 in the Top-30 countdown by MileSplitCA listing the top programs in the state of California.

"It is exciting and something to give the girls motivation to stay focused throughout the season," said Head Coach Aaron Rios. "For me as a coach, it is just on paper but it is fun and exciting. It will give the girls something to look forward to."

St. Francis finished eighth overall in the girls Division II race at the CIF State Championships, recording their seventh consecutive Top 10 state championship finish.

Junior Isabella Fauria led the team at the state championships and placed 10th overall in the individual standings (seventh among the team scorers) with a time of 18:05. It was her second career top-10 finish at the CIF State Championships (2016). She was named to the MileSplitCA All-State honorable mention team. SF also won their third consecutive title at the Sac-Joaquin Section Championships, while Fauria became the third individual in school history to win the individual section title, joining Kolleen Kassis (1987) and Cybelle McFadden (1990, 1991).

St. Francis opens the season at the Oakmont Invitational on Aug. 31. The Troubies have won the last two team titles.
