Some of you have inquired about rescheduling to a different area and time, and we appreciate those who reached out to us about that. However, this is a Regional tournament and not a local section tournament. The logistics involved covering an area from Arroyo Grande in the South to Santa Rosa in the North make rescheduling on the fly a recipe for disaster. Because of the continued unfavorable outlook on the air quality in the region, in addition to schools being forced to close due to the bad air, as well as schools being closed for next weeks Thanksgiving holiday, the opportunity to reschedule the event at a later date is not possible. We have received notice from some schools that the district will not continue to heat their pools in November and that players have USA Water Polo obligations, which ironically, begin Sunday in Clovis.

 

The CIF would like to thank St Francis High School of Mountain View, Bellarmine of San Jose and Los Altos high schools who were the original host sites before the reschedule to Clovis. A special thank you to Clovis USD for their willingness to assist the CIF in the 11th hour. Unbelievable effort from CUSD.
