Get to Know: Water Polo's #15 Abbey Berg
How is your senior season going?
"It has been going good so far. Last year was tough because I came back from an injury. This year has been really good because I came into the season after playing summer. I had a better handle with my skills. It has been a lot easier."
 
What does water polo mean to you?
"It is something I love to do. It is one of my favorite past times. It is fun to be with the team. It is a great community and I love to be part of it."
 
What are you goals for this season?
"I want to have a lot of fun, improve where I can and meet the goals I set for the season."
 
Why is the University of Oregon your favorite school at this point?
"I went to visit and I loved the environment. It felt like the place (I want) to go."
 
The spelling of your name is unique (Abbey). Is there a story?
"My mom is a huge Beatles fan. She gave me my nickname off the album Abbey Road. (Her given name is Abigail)
 
What do you like to do away from the pool and school?
"I love to go skiing with my family in the winter. We like to go to Tahoe and North Star."
 
What did the USA Water Polo Academic All-American honor mean to you?
"It is important. You can have a great athlete and have someone who is also into their academics too. To say I was one of the people who could balance both is really an honor."
 
What have your seven senior teammates meant to you?
"I loved having the same people the last 3-4 years and going through the journey with them has been great. I have had them by my side the last three seasons we have been together. It has been fun."
 
What is your greatest achievement: Being pulled up sophomore year.
If you could have one superpower: Flying. 
If you could time travel, would you go to the past or the future: Future.
What is the concert you want to see: Khalid.
What teacher has inspired you the most: Mrs. Harrity.
What is your favorite holiday: Christmas.
Hero: My dad.
What is on your Bucket List:  Go Skydiving.
