TOKAY, Calif. – The third-seeded St. Francis water polo team lost to top-seeded Davis 15-5 in the Sac-Joaquin Section Division I final at Tokay High School on Saturday.
Sophomores Libby Slater (3) and Zoe Sloat (2) combined to score five goals for the Troubadours.
Davis (26-6) scored seven goals in the first half to lead 7-1 at the break, adding four each in the final two periods.
Overall, St. Francis and Davis have met 14 times in the Sac-Joaquin Section finals since 2004.
St. Francis finishes with a 16-12 overall mark and second consecutive Sac-Joaquin Section finals appearance.
