Pumas clip Troubies, 2-1, to close out Tri-Valley tourney

DANVILLE, Calif. – Junior midfielder Micaela Romo converted an assist from senior Kate Killer for St. Francis' lone goal in a 2-1 loss to Maria Carrillo High on the final day at the Tri-Valley high school girls' soccer tournament at Sycamore Valley Park Saturday.

The Troubadours move to 7-2-2 overall.

The Tri-Valley tourney, held mostly at Sycamore Valley save for two contests at San Ramon Valley High and Monte Vista High, featured 12 programs from around Northern California. St. Francis posted a win over Clayton Valley Charter and a tie with MVHS on Friday.

The tournament also wraps up action for the Troubie varsity squad until the resumption of Delta League play at Elk Grove on January 4.
