2019 Softball Highlights
  • St. Francis went 17-11 on the season with a 7-5 record in Delta League play. The 17 wins are the most for the program in eight seasons since SF won 18 games during the 2010-11 season. The Troubadours advanced to the Sac-Joaquin Section Division II playoffs after a fourth-place finish in the league.
  • Kevin Warren was named the Co-Delta League Coach of the Year by his coaching colleagues along with Amanda Buck of Elk Grove for 2019 season.
  • Senior Chloe Smith was named to the Sacramento Bee All-Metro second team softball team. Teammate Bella Valentine garnered honorable mention accolades.
  • Smith, who signed to play at Villanova, hit .571 with eight home runs and 41 RBI this season for the Troubadours. She led the Delta League in batting average, home runs and RBI. She recorded 16 multi-hit games on the season.
  • Warren tutored eight players to all-league honors including first-team selections Chloe Smith and Bella Valentine.
  • Three players were selected to play in the Optimist All-Star game.
  • Smith (Villanova), Valentine (Azusa Pacific), Sydney Littles (CS-East Bay) and Arden Hatch (Corcordia (Ore.)) will continue playing softball in college from 2019 senior class.
