This is the Troubadours' fifth trip to Elk Grove in the past 15 days, all resulting in 3-0 sweeps. They improve to 18-5 for the year and remain undefeated in league play at 7-0.

The St. Francis frosh and junior varsity also swept the Wildcats in their respective lead-in matches on Thursday. The frosh opened the night with a 25-12, 25-12 win, then the jayvees rolled past Franklin by a 25-17, 25-15 final.

Van Ness and Zeff were the top Troubie offensive performers, with Van Ness adding another six points from the service line. Zeff committed only one hitting error on 17 swings toward her .647 clip. Overall, St. Francis hit .271 behind Magley's 33 assists at setter. Magley also chipped in another two aces, 2-0-6 hitting and 15 digs.

Thursday's visit to Franklin completes the Troubies' first pass through the Delta League schedule. All three SF teams return to league action at Davis on October 5, but the two sub-varsity squads first compete at the 39th Carmichael Invitational Volleyball Tournament at Capital Sports Center this Saturday. Matches are scheduled to be streamed live at the Sporfie website and app (https://www.sporfie.com/company/capitalsportscenter).
