LODI, Calif. – The St. Francis golf team shot a 431 at Woodbridge Country Club on Monday to finish 10th overall at the CIF Northern California Regionals.
The Troubadours advanced by finishing second at both the Sac-Joaquin Section sectionals and Masters events, playing in the final qualifier for the state championships. Dougherty Valley, Granite Bay and Carondelet advanced to next week's CIF State Championships as the top three finishers in the event.
The Troubies advanced to the NorCal regionals for the second time in the last three seasons after finishing the regular season undefeated and winning the Delta League title.
Seniors Patricia Sweeney and Olivia Alcoran played in their final tournament for the program. Sweeney shot an 83 to finish tied for 38th overall, while Alcoran posted an 85 to tie for 51st overall.
Junior Nashla Aguero was one shot back with an 86 to tie for 55th and Madelene Lee had an 88 to tie for 80th. Haanya Niazi carded an 89 and Ceci Fletcher had a 95.
Overall, St. Francis finishes among the final 24 teams in the state playing for the final six spots in the state finals and final 12 out of 119 postseason teams in the Sac-Joaquin Section.
