Troubie Heroes

St. Francis Catholic High School is proud to Graduate Women Who Change the World. It is more than a motto for the school.

Here are some examples of our graduates with connections to the Athletic Department as well as our Alumnae community as a whole who are changing the world especially in this difficult time for our state and country. 

  • TROUBIE HERO Nicole Lau '11 is a Resident Physician at Riverside (Calif.) Community Hospital. She played basketball at St. Francis from 2009-11. She studied Biological Sciences at USC and then attended UAB School of Medicine. 
  • TROUBIE HERO Erin Rost '10 is a Medical-Surgical Nurse at Prisma Health-Richland in Columbia, South Carolina. She played Soccer all 4 years (JV Freshman year and Varsity under Rick Carrigan 2007, 2008, 2009 seasons) and freshman and JV Basketball.
  • TROUBIE HERO Anna Murphy Ryan '89 is a RN at Sutter General Hospital in the Emergency Department. She played basketball, soccer, ran cross country and swam. 
  • TROUBIE HERO Alexandra Chan '14 is a Lieutenant in the Navy stationed on the Pacific Fleet Command Watchfloor in Pearl Harbor, HI. She is working 12 hour shifts helping monitor the status of the Navy's Pacific Fleet and COVID-19 response. She went to the Naval Academy after playing softball at SF from 2007-10.
  • TROUBIE HERO Paige Passantino, class of 2013. She played lacrosse and did cheer while at SF. Currently she is a registered nurse at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville, Tenn. She is pictured at work doing chemotherapy.
  • TROUBIE HERO Ally Trauth '08 is a Physician Assistant in Emergency Medicine with the VA Northern California Healthcare System in Sacramento.
  • TROUBIE HERO Kristin Haitz '09 is currently working at VCA Sacramento Veterinary Referral Center in Sacramento as an Emergency Veterinarian. While at SF she played Varsity Lacrosse, Basketball and Soccer. She was also a Student Body member, Kairos leader and actively involved in SF Ambassadors and Italian Club.
  • TROUBIE HERO Addie Wallace '15 is currently working at the Hospital of University of Pennsylvania after graduating from Villanova in 2019 with her BSN, RN degree. She played soccer as a Troubie and for Villanova. 
  • TROUBIE HERO Gabby Medeiros (Cronin) '11 works at the Children's Hospital of Las Angeles as a Hematology-Oncology nurse. She played soccer (2008-09), water polo (2007-08) and swam (2011) at Sat. Francis. She participates in the annual triathlon to raise money for pediatric cancer at her institution. She is "So thankful for the SF community!". 
  • TROUBIE HERO Alexis Andrews (Anderson) '08 is a Labor & Delivery nurse at Kaiser Permanente in Walnut Creek, Calif., since Sept. 2014. She is shown on a service trip in Mexico. She was inspired to attend St. Francis by her Aunt Michelle Anderson, who was inducted in the Athletics Hall of Fame last spring and works in education at the Veterans Department at Shoreline Community College in Washington. Alexis' sister Isabella Anderson is part of the newly accepted Class of 2024.
  • TROUBIE HERO Ellie Earley '11 a registered nurse at Sharp Grossmont Hospital in San Diego in a stroke/neurology PCU. She played basketball for four years and golf for two while at SF> She got her nursing degree at Gonzaga University in 2015 and is a very proud Zag! She wants to encourage Troubies to get into healthcare. She says, "Forever love SFHS (because) it made me who I am today!!! 
  • TROUBIE HERO Diane (Koeberlein) Stoltz '91 is a Medical Assistant for Swedish Medical Group in Internal Medicine and they are running the first COVID-19 drive-thru clinic open to the public in Washington State. As a bonus, her husband, Aaron Stoltz, Del Campo class of 1985, is also on the front lines as a Seattle Police Office.
  • TROUBIE HERO Rachel Olcese York '10 is a Trauma ICU RN at Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, Nev. She was a SF Ambassador, Kairos Leader, member of SFHS Retreat Team, & Big Sister during her time on campus.   • TROUBIE HERO Laura Twitchell Hatheway '04 is a Teacher on Special Assignment, English Learner Coordinator for Buckeye Union School District in El Dorado Hills. She also has a local business (https://sites.google.com/view/learningwithlaura/home) currently making packets with instructional videos for parents that have Preschool, TK, and Kindergarten students.  In the video my daughters and I show parents how to do the activity and some tips in teaching kids at home.  Laura was a team co-captain of the inaugural Lacrosse team and Spanish club on campus. 
  • TROUBIE HERO Elisa (Iniguez) Barber '04 currently works in Naples, Fla., as an RN in the Operating Room. While at SF she was involved in Drama.  
  • TROUBIE HERO Rachel Klas '11 is now a Physical Therapist with UPMC in Pittsburgh, PA completing a residency program to specialize in neurological physical therapy. This picture is from her graduation from physical therapy school at UCSF last year. From left to right is Grace '18, Rachel '11, and Allison '13 Klas. Allison is an Audit Senior at Ernst and Young Accounting Firm. Grace is a sophomore at the University of Oregon studying Environmental Science. Rachel played water polo from 2007-2010 and swam from 2009-2011. Allison ran cross country and track from 2009-2013 and played basketball in 2009. Grace played water polo from 2014-2016 and swam from 2015-2018.
  • TROUBIE HERO Valerie Stancyk '06 currently works at Sutter Medical Center in Sacramento as an RN in the Pediatric ICU.  In high school, she sang in the Chamber Choir, played soccer, and ran track. She graduated from CSUS in fall 2013 with my BSN. From Valerie, "Thanks SFHS for giving me a great foundation to go forth and serve pediatric patients and their families!"
  • TROUBIE HERO Charlotte (Stewart) Adams '12 is currently a registered nurse in the Cardiovascular-Thoracic ICU at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. She is also in graduate school at UK pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree and she plans to be a Family Nurse Practitioner when she graduates in 2023. She played waterpolo, lacrosse and basketball while at St. Francis and "loved every minute of it!"
  • TROUBIE HERO Julian (Holley) Morris '12 is a registered nurse in the pediatric intensive care unit at Sutter Medical Center in Sacramento! She was class president her sophomore and junior years and was very involved in Latin Club. She also played soccer and ran cross country and track.
  • TROUBIE HERO and Coach Jenny Hollenbach of the St. Francis cross country and track and field programs is a registered nurse at Mercy Hospital. She is also mom to Emma '20, who will be following in her footsteps at the University of Alabama.
  • TROUBIE HERO Eileen Walsh '14 is currently a liver and kidney transplant nurse at Aurora St. Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisc. She graduated from Marquette with her BSN in 2018 and will begin pursuing my DNP in the Adult-Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program this fall at Marquette.. She played water polo (2010-14), basketball (2010-12), swam (2010-13) and competed on track and field (2014).
  • TROUBIE HERO Kelly (Owens) Slaughter '92 is a Medical Assistant in Littleton, Colo. She participated in swimming, diving and choir during her tie at St. Francis.
  • TROUBIE HERO Renee Basurto '89 is a U.S. Pretrial Services Officer at the Federal Courthouse in Sacramento. She played softball at St. Francis from 1986-1989 (JV-86 and Varsity 87-89).
  • TROUBIE HERO Lynda (Ubungen) SooHoo '86 (Julie '21) is currently working for UC Davis Health here in Sacramento, as an Assistant Nurse Manager in the Nephrology/Dialysis unit. While at SF Lynda was involved in the SFHS Color Guard team, and she shared, "I thank God for the wonderful education I received from SFHS. The strive for women's excellence has always been the goal at SFHS". 
  • TROUBIE HERO Lydia Molitor '15 is currently a PICU nurse at Seattle Children's Hospital.  While at SF she was involved in Dance Co. and Soccer all 4 years. She graduated from Gonzaga in 2019.
  • TROUBIE HERO Mary Molitor '14 is currently in her second year as an auxiliare in Madrid, Spain, teaching English and science to 5th grade students for the past two weeks. She was involved in choir and a cappella at SF and Capital Crew. She graduated from Loyola Marymount University 2018. She is in quarantine with another fellow Troubie!!!
  • TROUBIE HERO Sarah Simmons '05 (go pink panthers!). She is an OB GYN physician at Kaiser Walnut Creek. She shared that "I love being part of the happy part of the hospital and advocating for women's health". We are so happy you have found joy and purpose in your career! Thank you for your service!
  • TROUBIE HERO MaryAnn Dakkak, MD MSPH, '20 is currently at Family Medicine-Obstetrics at Boston University Medical Center, an Assistant Professor and is also the Director of Women's Health at Manet Community Health Centers. MaryAnn is a mom of two, who just flew her children/family out to CA to live with her parents while she works on this full time.  She is working inpatient medicine and OB shifts, taking care of COVId suspected patients and on her OB shifts doing deliveries. We are in awe of your sacrifice, MaryAnn, and all those putting their lives at risk to keep their communities safe
