Shimada said. "It feels really great, I am so excited that I won league in the 300 and was runner up in the 100 and that the team won the title as well. I can't wait to finish out sections and see what happens. I've been waiting for this moment for four years and so I'm excited to graduate with this title."

Emily Castles was the Fropj/Soph Delta League Champion in the 1600m and in the 3200m. Castles ran a 5:32.37 in the 1600m and set a new personal record for her 3200m in 11:50.90. Castles scored 20 points for the Troubies.

Castles said. "My season started off a little rocky but I'm glad to have a good end to the season with these titles. Overall I'm just happy to have raced and achieve a PR with my teammates surrounding me. I'm really looking forward to watching my teammates continue to represent our team and school. Without all these talented girls to inspire each other and push each other I don't think personally I would be the runner I am today."

The St. Francis track and field team will compete in the Sac Joaquin Section Trial on May 8 at 1:00 p.m. at Tokay High School.
