Troubie diving honors lone senior in Davis dual

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Senior Sinclair Yadao scored a 231.15 on the one-meter board while junior Paige Vicente notched a 202.55 total, leading St. Francis in the final Delta League dual meet of the season Monday at American River College.

While the meet also included competitors from Christian Brothers and Kennedy, it also served as the diving portion of an overall dual matchup against Davis. Furthermore, Yadao was honored prior to the meet as the Troubadour program's lone senior.

Yadao finished second overall, just behind CB senior and fellow SHU commit Phifey Boyers, who totaled 236.15. Sinclair took third, with Maya Hamilton (174.75), Lily Frei (125.95) and Rose Buffleben (120.85) completing the St. Francis scores.

In the dual matchup with the Blue Devils, St. Francis scored first-, second- and fourth-place points for 12 points. Davis finished second and fifth in the head-to-head race for four points, with Violet Watts leading her team at 190.20. These totals will be added to the swim scoring during Wednesday's meet at Jesuit.

Yadao finished her day on a high note, snaring 8.0-7.5-7.5 awards on a 5132D (forward 1.5 with a full twist), good for a 50.6 bump toward her six-dive total. Vicente eclipsed the 200-point barrier for the first time since last year's meet at Rio Americano, having scored consistently in the 194-197 range throughout the season.

St. Francis closes out the dual season with a 4 p.m. meet at St. Mary's on Wednesday. That school's Cortopassi Aquatics Center hosts the Sac-Joaquin Section championships later in April.
