SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The St. Francis Junior Varsity Gold and Red basketball teams swept Del Oro on Friday in the final home games of the year.

Freshman Emily Dusel scored a career-high 17 points including the game-winner with 4.5 seconds left in a 48-47 win over Del Oro for the JV Gold basketball team.

The team improved to 9-2 on the season and avenged their tournament loss to Del Oro last week at the Folsom-Vista Classic.

Raquel Smith added 13 points and JoJo Myers scored 10 in the win. The take on Oak Rudge in the Woodcreek Winter Classic on Dec. 27.

The JV Red team defeated Del Oro 47-38, avenging a loss last week in the final of the Folsom-Vista Classic. Freshman Jadyn Weaver led the team with 15 points, while Emily Kroettinger added 14 and Mia Hamerton scored 10. Sydney Dukes added eight in the victory.

The team improved to 7-5 on the season and 2-2 against Del Oro.

They return to action on Dec. 27 against Nevada Union in the Woodcreek Winter Classic.
