SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Emily Collins begins her first season as an assistant coach with the St. Francis basketball program with the Junior Varsity Red team.
"We are happy to have her on the staff," said JV Red Head Coach John Bashore. "She has great reporte with the girls and is a great coach. She is doing a great job and I am pleased to have her on the staff."
Collins has coached third through eighth grade basketball, volleyball and track and field in the Mission Oaks Park District and has coached rec swimming at Del Norte the last three seasons.
Collins is a 2013 graduate of Rio American High School where she played basketball and soccer and was on the swimming team. She attended the University of Oregon for two years before finishing her degree in kinesiology in 2018 and getting her teaching credential at Sacramento State.
She is teaching at Dyer Kelly Elementary.
