PITTSBURG, Calif. - The JV Red Basketball team posted a 29-19 win over Franklin in the opening round of the Lady Pirate Holiday Classic Orange Division. They play in the semifinals on Friday at 7 p.m. at Pittsburg High School.

Mia Hamerton and Alexys Wyant each scored six points in the win. Jadyn Weaver led the team with seven points.

SF built a 13-10 lead at the half and broke the game open in the third with a 10-point quarter as five players hit baskets highlighted by a three-pointer by Weaver.
