Yadao rolls through another Delta League diving dual

RIO LINDA, Calif. – St. Francis sophomore Sinclair Yadao posted her third diving win of the season, scoring a 221.75 final total on the 1-meter board in a multi-team competition at Capital Divers Wednesday.

Besides a full squad of eight Troubadours, the meet included competitors from Jesuit, Pleasant Grove, Christian Brothers, Kennedy and Laguna Creek. However, the relevant scoring was against Elk Grove, in conjunction with the swimming dual running simultaneously at Jesuit High.

The Thundering Herd did not field a diver in the meet, giving SFHS the maximum 13-0 win.

Yadao bested Pleasant Grove's Presley Carter, who finished second overall with a 190.65 total. This represents a reversal of the March 7 meeting between the Troubies and Eagles: Carter scored a 205.45 in that meet, eclipsing Yadao's 185.45.

Freshman Paige Vicente (164.95) and junior Jaiden Jackson (159.05) rounded out the scoring in the SF-EG matchup, respectively placing fourth and fifth in the overall meet.

Another freshman, Maya Hamilton, compiled a 149.95 for eighth overall for the Troubies. Additional SFHS scorers comprised Caroline Laborde Lagrave (123.95), Vanya Dubey (100.20), Keira Nijjar (87.80) and Julia Labriola (85.50).

The Troubie divers take a week off from competition, returning to action against Sheldon on April 6 in the final meet before the Delta League championships.
