Senior Golfer Ceci Fletcher Named MVP Among Award Winners

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The St. Francis golf team handed out their annual awards at the banquet on Dec. 11. It was the first season for Head Coach Kelli Corlett and assistant Chloe Bartek.

Fletcher was named the Team MVP. She was second on the team in scoring average in duals (40.3) and first in 18 holes matches (80.6). She earned medalist honors in two events, earning All-Delta League honors for the first time in her career.

Junior Haanya Niazo was the Last to Leave Award winner after leading the team in medalist honors (4) and posting a team-best 39.2 stroke average in duals.

Junior Oliva Reed was the recipient of the Helping Hand Award, while Amanda Siy received the Love of the Game Award.

Siy also earned her first All-Delta League honor, joining Fletcher, Niazi and Aguero on the team. It was the second honor for Aguero and first for Niazi.

Other team highlights from the season included:

  • Won the Delta League title for the fourth consecutive season
  • Finished fourth at the Sac-Joaquin Section Division I and seventh at the Masters tournaments
  • Hosted a community service event with the California Eagle program
  • The Troubadours posted an undefeated season with a 7-0 dual match record and three 18-hole Center match wins. Overall, St. Francis has won 36 consecutive league matches (25 duals and 11 centers) and 38 consecutive league dual matches (39 overall).
