LOOMIS, Calif. – Grace Gustorf and Jocelyn Villaflor accounted for the entire St. Francis JV Red offense in a 52-3 loss at Del Oro, completing a three-game season series with the area frosh powerhouse Thursday night at Bonner Gym.
The Troubadours slip to 3-12 for the season. The Golden Eagles improve to 26-1.
Gustorf and Villaflor scored all three points during the first period and all from the free-throw line: Gustorf went 2-for-2 in her lone trip to the stripe, while Villaflor hit the front end of hers. Meanwhile, DO amassed a 15-2 lead in that opening frame and held a 34-2 edge at halftime before cooling down to single-digit scoring in each of the second-half quarters.
SF's all-frosh squad sent its three most experienced players up to the JV Gold program in late December. The Troubies will wrap their season at home against Granite Bay on Tuesday. Game time is 4 p.m.
