ROSEVILLE, Calif. – Senior Hope Jenkins struck out eight batters in her complete-game win and matched senior Haley Kim and sophomore Alex Garcia with two hits at the plate, as St. Francis beat Roseville by a 4-2 final in the varsity end of a prep softball doubleheader Wednesday afternoon.
The Troubadours JV squad also prevailed, earning a 3-2 win in nine innings.

In the JV win, St. Francis held a 2-1 lead heading into the bottom of the seventh but surrendered a two-out solo homer by Jillian Anderson, forcing the extra innings. With the international tiebreaker in place, the Troubies pushed across the game-winning run in the top of the ninth. Sydney Hucik was placed on second to start the inning. Natalie Vigil sacrificed Hucik to third, then Kylee Garrett drove in Hucik on a grounder to short.
Sophomore Taylor Trafican pitched the first five innings then Garrett took over the circle in the sixth, eventually earning the win.
