Delta All-League Recognition Announced

The Delta league released the name of their All-league selections for the majority of sports last week and St. Francis athletes represented in every sport we were able to play league competition this spring.

Cross Country- To qualify for all-league athletes needed to compete in a minimum of four league dual meets: Grace Dunham ('24), Paige Quigley ('23), Claire Silva ('22), Ryann Strawn ('24), Kayla Towne ('24).

Golf- Madeline Lee ('21), Haanya Niazi ('21). Both athletes played in every league match

Tennis- To qualify, athletes needed to participate in at least half of the dual matches: Alisha Anwar ('21), Emmy Grobles ('21), Alex Evans ('21), Saafa Umar ('22). Coach Kristi Spector was given League Coach of the Year honors.

Volleyball- Chloe Henning ('21), Ashley Magley ('21), Dani Nelson ('21), Carli Padilla ('22). Olivia Mlikotin ('23) was given honorable mention by the selection committee

Soccer- Jaycee DeFazio ('23), Madie Fahey ('21), Jane Gregory ('21), Hailey Lemon ('21), Mia Solorio-Smith ('21). Coach Alex Hoang was given League Coach of the Year honors.

Softball- Hope Jenkins ('22) took MVP honors for the league and Grace Jenkins ('22) was named to the first team. Jazzy Basquez ('23), Paige Herbert ('21), and Daniella Guerrera ('21) were named to the second team. Sage Davis was award the Sportsmanship award. Coach Kevin Warren was awarded League Coach of the Year.

Diving- Sinclair Yadao ('24)

Swimming - Based on times in a dual meet competition: Individual recognitions: Maddy Ching (100 Fly), Ava Chavez (500 Free), Grace Mering (100 Back)                                                                                            

Relay teams: 200 Medley (Grace Mering, MaKenna Fredriksen, Maddy Ching, Ava Chavez),                       

                    200 Free (Ariella Montvirgen, Maddie Hoppa, Victoria Cao, Megan Gawlick),                                          

                    400 Free (Victoria Cao, Maddie Ching, Grace Mering, Ava Chavez)

Track and Field-Recognition based on best place/time in dual meet competition:   4 X 100 Relay Team (Simone Sagay, Kenna DeLemos, Theone Divinagracia, Reyna Johnson). Individual honors – Kayla Towne (800 meters), Tatiana Cornejo (1600 meters), Reyna Johnson (High hurdles, Long jump), and Molly Chambers (Pole Vault).
