RIO LINDA, Calif. – The St. Francis diving team placed three divers among the top four at the Delta League varsity championships and sophomore Sammie Calagna won the junior varsity diving title Thursday at Capital Divers.

Maddy Miles was the top finisher in second for the Troubadours with a season-best 378.96 for her 11-dive schedule with teammate Sydney Smith posting a season-best 374.10 in third place. Sophomore Hannah Carsey was in fourth with a score of 367.75.

Seniors Claudia Campos (230.50), Arissa Vallejo (218.30) and Alexis Dozier (207.15) also competed for St. Francis.

Sophomore Sammie Calagna won the junior varsity title with a score of 305.45. Sisters Delia and Marisa Gagnon placed third and fourth, respectively, while Lauren Bernas was fifth overall.

The Troubadours advance four divers into the Sac-Joaquin Section Championships on April 26 at McClatchy High School.
