Alphabetically, the four honorees were Tacori Abril (Folsom Lake College, soccer), Kasey McAtee (UT Dallas, softball), Kelsey Magley (Chapman, volleyball), Kiley Shea (Pacific, softball) and Lydia Vlahos (American River College, water polo/swimming).

The fivesome of Troubadours joins a group of 11 athletes honored in a similar ceremony last November: Yasmin Azar (Coastal Carolina, soccer), Grace Dunham (UC Davis, cross country/track & field), Caroline Foraker (UC Santa Barbara, volleyball), Makenna Frederiksen (Seattle, swimming), Brynley Hodge (Xavier, lacrosse), Alex Garcia (Utah State, softball), Francesca Guerrera (Maine, softball), Grace Mering (San Diego State, swimming), Jane Tattersall (Winthrop, lacrosse), Kayla Towne (UC Davis, cross country/track & field) and Sinclair Yadao (Sacred Heart, diving).

"These students devote as many as 20 hours per week on top of what is already a rigorous schedule of academics and service," said SF director of athletics Ryan Chisolm, in his remarks at the event. "To achieve at a level that allows them to compete at a college or university places them in elite company. To commend their excellence is certainly an honor for any athletics director."

The event also recognized the teachers, counselors, administrators and coaches who play a part in preparing all Troubadour students for their next steps after high school.
