Get to Know: Volleyball's #15 Lara Chappuie
What are you excited about for the playoffs?
"I am excited to meet one of our next goals. Our first goal was to win the league. Our second goal was goals was to win sections. Making each of those goals can lead to our bigger goals with NorCals and State."
 
How did your regular season go?
"The season has gone well so far. We have had some games where we took a loss but it helped us get stronger. We played really well in league. When we met those teams we lost to early on we beat them."
 
How have you got better over the course of the season?
"I definitely gotten closer to my teammates which has allowed me to play more as a team than as individual players. Those bonds we create help us work better together."
 
What is a fun fact about Lara?
"I am really into baking desserts. I love make cake."
 
How did you like your varsity experience this year?
"It is definitely a step up from JV but the competitiveness pushes me to be better. It gives me a lot of practice going into club season."
 
What have you learned from your senior teammates?
"I have learned to be loud and aggressive on the court and not be afraid of anything."
 
Tell me about your junior class?
"I think we are all talented and bring a lot to the team. I hope we all continue into the next year because I think it will really help us as a team because we are close together."
 
What did it mean to you to win the Delta League this year?
"It was a big deal because we did not lose a single game in the league especially when we had games like Cosumnes Oaks that went 5. We showed grit in the situation and got out of it. We had a game with Pleasant Grove that was close. It showed grit when we could pull it out and win."
 
If you could live in a book, TV show or movie, where would you live: Ferris Buehler's Day Off.
What is your greatest achievement: My ability to do well in school and not give up with school/volleyball.
If you could time travel, would you go to the past or the future: Past.
What is the concert you want to see: Drake.
What teacher has inspired you the most: Dr. Briggs.
What is your favorite holiday: Christmas.
If you could trade places for a day with one person: Elon Musk.
Hero: My parents.
What is on your Bucket List:  Go to Norway/Sweden.
