Get to Know: Volleyball's #14 Kathryn Kramer
Senior year and Holy Court, what does that mean to you?
"I have always looked forward to Holy Court every year. It is weird to think this is my last year. I am really excited to see how we play and how we do. I think we are going to do well this year."

Do you have a favorite moment of your career up to this point?
"I look forward to the team bonding every year because I get to know my teammates better. We grow closer as a team and have a fun and once in a lifetime experience with my team."

How have you got better as player and a teammate?
"I think I have grown out of my comfort zone. As a captain this year, I have to talk more and be more of a presence on the court. Compared to my freshman year, I was shy and did not talk at all. I have changed as a player by talking and being a leader on the court."

What does it mean to you to be a captain for this program?
"Being a captain is an honor. Being on the team for four years, I want to teach the younger girls so when they are in my position they know what to do."

Tell us about your commitment to TCU and why beach over indoor?
"I started playing beach two years ago for fun. I realized I liked it more than indoor. It is more my style. I enjoy just having me and my partner on the court. I liked the environment at TCU. Everyone supports all the sports programs and I felt at home when I went there."

From a team standpoint, what do you look forward to most about Holy Court?
"For the team it is everyone coming out to support us. It shows what a great school this is. Having everyone cheer us on helps us play better as a team. Holy Court is such a big deal."

What has Coach Alynn meant to you as a coach?
"Having her all four years, I have realized what a great coach she is and how much she has helped me grow as a player and a person. She is always there to talk to you even outside of volleyball."
