JV Water Polo Reaches Final at Granite Bay

GRANITE BAY, Calif. – The St. Francis junior varsity water polo team reached the final of the Granite Bay Tournament before losing to Davis 11-2. The Troubadours defeated McClatchy 13-6 and host Granite Bay en route to the finals.

Ave Stimson scored four times and Rory Peters and Sarah Ranlett each added two goals in the win over McClatchy in the tournament opener. Rachel Beardsley, Emma Houle, Ruth Palko added goals in the win. Stimson added six goals in the win over Granite Bay with Emma Kropf recording a hat trick and Ava Canon and Ranlett adding goals.

In the final against the Blue Devils, Kropf and Stimson each scored.

Stimson scored 11 goals over the three games to lead the team.

St. Francis (5-2) hosts Granite Bay on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Jesuit High School. The Booster Club will hold their annual Booster Que for all players, coaches and fans.
