Alumna Crayne Named PCSC Division II Diver of the Week

AZUSA, Calif. -Alumna Amy Crayne, a junior at Azusa Pacific University, was selected as the PCSC Division II Diver of the Week, following her performances this past weekend at the PCSC Relays and Pentathlon.
 
In the first meet of the season, Crayne qualified for the qualification day for the NCAA Championships in the three-meter dive, as she posted a score of 265.3 and finished in first place. She also competed in the one-meter dive, finishing second with a score of 239.80.
 
"Amy brings passion and athleticism to our dive team this year," said Coach Kyle, "She will be a force on the boards all season long."
 
Azusa Pacific swim & dive will be back in the water this Saturday, as the Cougars travel to Malibu for the Malibu Invitational at Pepperdine University. The meet will begin at 10:00 a.m.

She was a four-year letter winner for the Troubadours, graduating in 2013. She was named team most valuable diver all four seasons. Crayne was a three-time All-American, two-time all-city and four-time all-league selection, winning the Section championship in her freshman and junior seasons. She holds the school record for six dives at 290.75 and posted a personal-best 494.40 for 11 dives. She also set club records for 10 dives in one meter with 381.40 and three meter with 423.20. She assisted her mom, Dede, the last two seasons on the diving coaching staff.
