Pax et Bonum Winner Brynne Burrows Chosen as ValedictorianMay 22, 2019St. Francis senior Brynne Burrows will have a special view of St. Francis graduation on Thursday at the Memorial Auditorium. She will be on stage as the school’s 2019 Valedictorian speaker. It is an honor bestowed on her for her outstanding representation of the school based on her diverse experience as a Troubadour.

Student-Athletes Recognized as Booster Club Announces Annual AwardsMay 15, 2019Seniors Elise Urkov and Patricia Sweeney were honored as the Booster Club Scholar-Athletes of the Year, while Myra Anwar and Jade Borg received the Booster Club Leadership Award.

Basketball’s Bagatelos to Play at Chapman UniversityMay 07, 2019Senior guard Nika Bagatelos has committed to continue her basketball career at Chapman University in the fall and attend the school.

Nine Senior Troubadours Sign to Play Collegiate SportsApril 17, 2019Nine St. Francis seniors have made commitments to play collegiate sports this fall and were recognized at a ceremony at the school, bringing the total to 23 student-athletes for the Class of 2019. The Troubadours who signed on April 17 represent seven sports (basketball, cross country, lacrosse, rowing, swimming, tennis and water polo) and will be attending schools in four states (California, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Washington).

First Athletics Hall of Fame Class InductedApril 06, 2019St. Francis Catholic High School held its inaugural Athletics Hall of Fame induction ceremony and dinner on April 6 in the school gymnasium. The 2018 class included the 1993 CIF State Championship basketball team, golf coach Diane Aguer, three-sport star Karen Lysaght Perkins '81, volleyball and softball standout Jill Haas Benson '93, swimmer Katie Younglove Zylstra '98, golfer Sarah Huarte Glynn '00, and tennis star Emani Decquir '09. Dotty Brandenburger, who was the official scorekeeper for the softball program for 35 years, completed the class in the contributor category.

Basketball Lands Three on All-Delta League SquadFebruary 23, 2019The St. Francis basketball team placed three players on the All-Delta League team as selected by the league’s coaches. Seniors Nika Bagatelos and Lauren Pank joined junior Mia Fleming-Mullins on the first team.

St. Ignatius Wins St. Francis P.A.L. Tournament TitleFebruary 10, 2019St. Ignatius won the 2019 St. Francis P.A.L. Tournament title with a 40-32 win over St. John Notre Dame in the championship game. SI advanced to the title game with wins over St. Rose (41-16) and St. Roberts (34-13).

Basketball Earns Playoff Berth in SJS Division I BracketFebruary 09, 2019The St. Francis basketball program earned a playoff berth in the Sac-Joaquin Section Division I bracket and will host Inderkum on Monday, Feb. 11 at 7 p.m. The Troubadours are the No. 16 seed while Inderkum (13-13) is the No. 17 seed.

Get to Know: Basketball's #2 Jasmine LeeJanuary 31, 2019Jasmine Lee is in her third season in the basketball program and first full season with the varsity team. She has scored in double figures in three games and has averaged 4.6 points over 24 games. She also participated on the swimming team during her freshman season, while participating on clubs like ERA, Young Democrats and Guardian Angels. Jasmine is the Vice President for the junior class.

Get to Know: Basketball's #4 Nika BagatelosJanuary 23, 2019Nika Bagatelos has been a four-year varsity player after her call up freshmen season for the CIF State playoff run. She has reset her single-season best for three-pointers and is chasing the school’s career three-point mark. Nika hopes to play hoops in college and has talked to coaches at UC Santa Barbara and Chapman. Nika’s fun fact is that she loves sports and watches SportsCenter all the time.

Get to Know: Basketball's #23 Jorie KeitgesJanuary 22, 2019Jorie Keitges is in her third season with the varsity team, playing in 76 career varsity games and scoring more than 300 points. She wants to play basketball in college. Jorie’s fun fact is that she is a big Disney fan and she collects Disney crystals of each character. She plans to go to Disneyland for a week later this year. Jorie also plays on the varsity lacrosse team.

She will be attending Dominican University in the fall on a soccer scholarship. A fun fact about Ally is she has attended the last three NBA Finals and her favorite moment was the Warriors winning the title in Cleveland.

Get to Know: #3 Megan AustinJanuary 07, 2019Megan Austin is in her fourth year on the varsity team and is having her best season to date, averaging 6.4 points per game and has scored in double figures in two of the last three games with a career-high 11 against St. Vincent-St. Patrick. Her fun facts include that she has been to Peru and can juggle.
