SACRAMENTO, Calif - Track and Field's Tatiana Cornejo, Haley Silva, Cate Joaquin, and Izzy Fauria are the GoTroubie.com Athletes of the Week for March 31-April 8.

Conejo, Silva, Joaquin and Fauria ran the 4x1600 meter invitational relay last Friday at the Arcadia Invitational track and field meet. The team broke the St. Francis all time school record and posted the top time in the nation this season at 20:20.82. The foursome took the spot of 10th best in the meet's history and 19th best in the California all-time state history. The Troubies beat the second place time by four seconds, set by the Great Oaks team.

Silva said "It feels amazing! I was so proud of every member of our team and it was so exciting to be a part of the winning relay! We were ecstatic to have shown so well at a meet this big and it gives us so much confidence going forward."

Cornejo said, " It's really exciting and still unbelievable! We've really been trying our best to get the record for the school but knowing that we got the record this year for the nation is amazing."

Fauria and Joaquin are two-time GoTroubie.com Athletes of the Week selections, their first times being for individual accomplishments this season.

The St. Francis track and field team will compete at Davis Senior High School April 10 at 3:30 p.m..
