Get to Know: Basketball's #23 Jorie Keitges
Jorie Keitges is in her third season with the varsity team, playing in 76 career varsity games and scoring more than 300 points. She wants to play basketball in college. Jorie's fun fact is that she is a big Disney fan and she collects Disney crystals of each character. She plans to go to Disneyland for a week later this year. Jorie also plays on the varsity lacrosse team.

How is your senior season going?
"It is going well and has been fun adjusting to a new coach. I like her style. It is different and I am glad it happened my senior year. I love being around my team and supporting them."

What are you looking forward to about Holy Hoops?
"I am excited to be in the atmosphere of Holy Hoops. It is always fun to play in front of my classmates and represent St. Francis."

How is the confidence level heading into the Davis game?
"We are trying to bond and stay together. When we play together, we win."

What to you enjoy about being a two-sport athlete and playing lacrosse?
"I love what they both offer me because I get different skills from each sport. If I just played basketball, I would not be as a good a defender as I am today because lacrosse taught me about anticipation. You have to really watch the ball and know where your player is. Since you can't touch them, you have to have your head on a swivel. My basketball skills have also helped me stay in front of my defensive player in lacrosse. I brought the skill of being a team and talking to each other from basketball. My teammates say I bring good energy."

What do you love about hitting a three-pointer?
"Honestly I don't think that much when I am offense. When I am on defense, I have more feelings and get energy from the effort. I feed off other people more than myself. If my team is down, I am down. If we are hyped than I am hyped."
