SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The psych sheets for the CIF state swimming championships were released on Monday, with five St. Francis student-athletes in eight events now officially entered in the meet. The state swim meet consists of trials on Friday (1 p.m. start) and finals on Saturday (10:30 a.m. start) at Clovis West High's Clovis Olympic Swim Complex.
Alphabetically, the Troubadour swim delegation comprises Ava Chavez (200 free, 500 free, free relays), Maddy Ching (100 fly, free relays), LK Holliday (200 free relay), Erica Jaffe (200 IM, 100 back, free relays) and Grace Mering (100 back, 400 free relay). Additionally, diver Sinclair Yadao will compete in the 1-meter diving, held on Thursday, also at Clovis West.

The top three finishers from each CIF section, plus all swimmers who hit at-large qualifying standards during a section final, earned berths to the state meet. Chavez enters the meet as the highest-seeded Troubie, ranking fourth in the 200 free and sixth in the 500 free. Jaffe also is seeded to reach a championship final, sitting seventh in the 100 back.
