SACRAMENTO, Calif. — St. Francis High swimmers Victoria Cao and Lauren Jones each were announced among 39 West Territory recipients of 2021 Triple-Impact Competitor Scholarship awards, the Positive Coaching Alliance announced.
The Triple-Impact scholarship honors student-athletes who positively impact sports on three levels: by making themselves, their teammates and their communities better.
Each winner will receive a minimum $1,000 scholarship to be awarded in the spring of 2022, pending the required submission of documents. The PCA will hold a national virtual recognition event during that time as well.
The West Territory includes winners California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Idaho and Hawai'i. Can and Jones are two among three recipients from the Sacramento area, along with Bella Vista soccer player Ava Hotel.
