St. Francis junior Alexa Edwards has been named a finalist for the V Award given to the top overall female athlete as part of the SportsStars Annual All-City Team. Fans are offered the chance to vote for their favorite athletes and the winner will receive special recognition on Sunday at the River Cats game.
Junior Alexa Edwards was named the Delta League Player of the Year for the second consecutive season. She ranked sixth in the state of California and led the Delta League in kills with 572, while leading the league in kills per set (4.9). Edwards was also second in hitting percentage and digs (431) in the league.
