Senior Hannah Parulan Wins Three Events at Grizzly Invite

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Senior Hannah Parulan won three individual events at the Grizzly Invitational to help the St. Francis swimming team finish fifth overall on Saturday.

Parulan won the 100-yard individual medley in 104.14, the 200y IM in 2:18.10 and 100 freestyle in 56.38. She was also third in the 200y freestyle in 2:03.32. Overall she scored 76 individual points for the Troubadours.

Sophomore Maddie Hoppa placed fifth in the 100y butterfly in 1:04.77, while junior Chloe Beebout was 10th in the 100y IM in 1:08.61.

Junior Jaclynn Burgess posted two top-10 finishes with tie for eighth in the 100y backstroke in 1:07.42 and ninth in the 200y IM in 2:29.77.

St. Francis finished third in the junior varsity meet led by freshman Lauren Jones, who recorded four top-10 finishes. She was fifth in the 200y free, ninth in the 50 free (27.64), fourth in the 200y IM (2:34.62) and fourth in the 500y free (6:02.48).

Freshman Baya McIntosh won the 100y backstroke in 1:04.24 and fifth in the 100y free in 1:00.53.

Other top performances include sophomore Jenna Pimenta in the 100 breaststroke (6th, 1:20.57), freshman Taja Suruki in the 100y fly in 1:10.46 to finish fourth, while freshman Ansley Riddell was ninth (1:18.25).
