Alumna Brooklyn Bueno ’11 begins her fifth season on the St. Francis coaching staff and her second as assistant varsity coach.

She joined the staff for the 2018 season, assisting Allison Child coach the freshman team. The Troubies posted a 22-3 record, including a 12-0 mark in Delta League play and placed third at the Carmichael Invitational and fifth at the Stockton Invitational. The SF freshman team also defeated Christian Brothers in Holy Court and had the best cumulative GPA of the fall teams with a 3.73. Bueno assumed the helm of the frosh program in 2019, then moved to the JV assistant post upon the arrival of Darren McKinney in 2021.

Bueno played for current varsity head coach Alynn Wright during the 2008-10 seasons. She helped the team to three consecutive Delta River League titles and the 2009 Sac-Joaquin Section Championship. She averaged 9.0 digs per match, totaling 350 for the season in 2010.

Bueno is the daughter of St. Francis faculty member Dana Bueno. She studied criminology and criminal justice at Sacramento State.
