John Bashore assumed the helm of the JV Red basketball program in 2019-20.  He previusoly spent the last eight years coaching for the Saint Mary Mustangs and the last year coaching for the Sacramento Lady Rebels AAU team.

He spent 10 years as a Youth Sports Coordinator for the YMCA, coaching and coordinating youth basketball programs. John has spent his entire career working in the human service field with youth and families as a Recreation Specialist at local Sacramento high schools, Social Worker and Career Assessment Supervisor for the County of Sacramento.  

Bashore is a graduate of Saint Mary’s College of California and holds a BA in Human and Community Services.  He and his wife Ann have three daughters Grace, Sarah and Audrey.
