Already a prominent figure in the local youth basketball scene, Kevin Bridgeforth joined the St. Francis program in the fall of 2023 to serve as head varsity coach Brittany Woodard's top assistant. He will also lend his expertise for the two junior varsity programs.

Bridgeforth, a USA Basketball Gold-certified mentor, owns more than a decade of coaching experience. His career began as an assistant coach at his college alma mater of Virginia Wesleyan (2013-15), then continued with the Hampton Roads Academy (2015-17) before he relocated to the Sacramento area. Bridgeforth coached seventh- and eighth-grade hoop for the Vista Talons AAU program (2018-20) before getting hired by Vista Del Lago (2020-22) and most recently, St. Francis. He continues to serve as a boys' and girls' coach for the Rose City Ballers club, and as a basketball trainer for the Rancho Cordova-based Rockball. 

Bridgeforth graduated from VWU with a B.A. in education, although his roots are ultimately in Northern California: he grew up in Fairfield and graduated from Vanden High School.
